Inspired by the emotional attachments we form with people and places, Sara’s jewellery is made with craftsmanship, paying particular attention to tactile and aesthetic qualities.
Bespoke
Commissioning a piece of jewellery is an exciting and creative process that reflects the collaboration between goldsmith and client, culminating in a very personal result. Consultation on all aspects of aesthetics and fit ensures a bespoke piece of jewellery. Clients are encouraged to consider the use of heirloom jewellery that could be reimagined for a new life, whilst still retaining a connection to the original memories.
This solid silver bangle is created using the ancient Japanese process of Mitsuro Hikime. Local organic beeswax and pine resin are heated and then pulled until the characteristic striations appear. At that point the bangle can be sculpted into the final shape. The wax model is then lost-wax cast in AgAin sterling silver, harvested from NHS X-rays.
